Abigail Whittaker of Sabetha has been selected to attend the 2025 Washington D.C. Youth Tour, June 14th - 20th. This event is an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. sponsored by Nemaha-Marshall Electric Cooperative.
Abigail will join nearly 1,000 students from across the country that were selected by their electric cooperatives to attend the annual Youth Tour.
A junior at Sabetha High School, Abigail is the daughter of Doug and Susanna Whittaker. She is active in volleyball, KAYS, Grains of Hope, Bluejay Buddies and FCA.
While on tour, Abigail will learn about American History and the government. She will visit historical sites including monuments, museums, the U.S. Capital, federal agencies and other points of interest. She will also have an opportunity to meet with her legislators in the House and Senate.
Annie Dressman of Frankfort has been selected to attend the 2025 Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp, July 11th - 17th. This event is an all-expense paid trip to Steamboat Springs, Colorado sponsored by Nemaha-Marshall Electric Cooperative.
Annie will join other students from Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Wyoming who have been selected by their electric cooperatives to attend the annual Youth Camp.
A junior at Frankfort High School, Annie is the daughter of Brian and Janna Dressman. She is active in FFA, Scholars Bowl, Cheer, Cross Country, and Track.
While at camp, Annie will attend leadership workshops, participate in the legislative forum and build a transmission line competition. She will take a tour of Trapper Coal Mine and the Craig Generation Plant, visit Lookout Mountain and Steamboat Springs and go rafting on the Colorado River.
